What is Memory Vault?

Memory Vault is our secure e-server storage solution for your memories. We store a digital copy of all your photos, videos and documents on a secure server, so that your memories are always protected. If any of your memories are ever damaged, we can replace them with full quality digital copies. Accidents happen. This provides peace of mind for you and your family.

In addition to storing their memories on our server, Memory Vault customers also get remote access to their memories through our secure website. They (and anyone the grant password access to) can view their photos, videos and documents at anytime for no additional charge.

How does Memory Vault work?

For new accounts, Customers provide us with their memories to be stored at one of our retail locations. Usually, it is done as part of additional work organizing and managing their memories. Once we have digitized their photos, videos and documents, we create a dedicated storage directory for their memories on our server. These memories are then also available for viewing on our website through their own Memory Vault.

Once their account is established, Customers can log on to their Memory Vault and update, add, delete and copy their memories to our site.

How much does Memory Vault cost?

Memory Vault is priced based on the amount of storage space required. We have storage solutions ranging from as little as $79/yr up to $159/yr depending upon your needs. The storage capacity we offer ranges from 10GB to 20GB and more, and is significantly greater than that available almost anywhere else. For most customers, $79/yr of storage provides adequate space for safekeeping all their memories.

I have video on tape in multiple formats. What formats do you support?

Memory Factory can accommodate almost all major media formats including 8mm film, Super 8 film, VHS-C, VHS, 8mm tape, DV tape, Mini DV, slides and negatives. We can also accommodate many European and Latin American format standards, including PAL. With this breadth of coverage we can meet almost any customer need.

How do I get started protecting my memories?

The simplest way to start is to bring us some or all of your memories that need to be organized. We then begin viewing samples of the different products and services that we offer, then having a personal consultation session to review your specific needs and interests.

Do I need an appointment?

No, appointments are never required. However, some customers prefer having dedicated appointment times to ensure a speedy review process for new projects. You can schedule an appointment anytime by calling our store at 305.668.1801.

How long does it take to review my memories with your team?

It depends on the amount of photos, videos and documents you have as well as your interest level in organizing the details of your memories. The average review takes about 20 minutes.

Some customers like to be very involved in the planning, others very little. For this reason, we have developed solutions to accommodate each customer’s interest level and time constraints. Most importantly, Memory Factory never charges for consultation time, so customers don’t feel rushed.

How long does it take to complete my project?

While dependent upon length, most customer projects are completed in four to five days. In addition, we can often accommodate special requests for shorter deadlines.

Some of my photos are on slides and I don’t have the negatives, can you help me?

Yes. Memory Factory can reproduce digital images from both slides and negatives, as well as traditional prints. Our experts will work with you to accommodate any format you may have.

I have water damaged photos and slides, can you fix those?

Yes. While every image restoration project is dependent upon the quality of the source material, Memory Factory can restore and enhance images from photos, slides and or negatives. We can correct most types of image damage including fading, cracking, tearing, water stains, etc.
